A Couture Bridal Dress for A Spring Cheshire Wedding
Happy New Year! I’m really happy to be starting our Year at Erica Stacey HQ by sharing more of this gorgeous Spring Cheshire Wedding. Its always so exciting to see the photographs from our real brides.
Hollie and Ade’s day is just so gorgeous! From seeing our brides bespoke dresses in action to all the details, like the something blue of the couples initials in her dress. (A shout out a groom wearing cool as blue converses to accent!) It is just wonderful to see everything fall into place.

I caught up with Hollie after the big day and asked her to share a little about her Cheshire wedding day and experience in commissioning a bespoke gown with Erica Stacey Bridalwear.
How did you discover and choose Erica Stacey Bridalwear?
“I did a google search for custom wedding dress designers and Erica Stacey Bridalwear was one of the first ones to popup. We had a quick telephone call and then arranged for me to come to the shop.”
Why did you choose a bespoke wedding dress for your Cheshire Wedding?
“I really wanted to have a dress made, where I could have part of my Mum's wedding dress, that my Nan made for her incorporated into it. I wanted to give it a new life and thought it would be really special to wear on the day and also be something I can hand down...it may be that my dress and my Mum's dress are made into something else new.”
How was your experience of working with a designer to create a bespoke one off piece just for you?
“I loved working with Erica and Christine. I loved seeing the initial sketches and the visions coming to life. It was really helpful having the mock dress to try on first so if there were any issues or if I’d changed my mind about anything then I could let them know before the final dress was made.”
What was your favourite part of the process?
“I loved all aspects of the process- especially talking about ideas and then Erica sketching them up and being able to see it start to come to life. It was great picking out the fabric as well.”
How would you describe your wedding dress? How did you feel in your dress?
“I was so happy with my wedding dress, it exceeded all my expectations and I have never felt more beautiful. I had so many lovely compliments and everyone kept saying how the dress was ‘very me’. I felt really comfortable all day.”
What would you say to anyone else thinking of having a bespoke wedding dress made?
“I highly recommend having a bespoke dress made. I was able to go through everything I wanted with Erica; style, fit, fabric etc and I love knowing that it was a one of a kind dress that no one else would have and especially knowing that it had part of my Mums dress incorporated into it.”
I asked Hollie if she had any other words of wedding advice for couples?
“Try not to let the little things stress you out- and enjoy the day with the people you love most. It really is true what they say, the day goes by so quickly!”
